Re :: BALI Retreats
1. Is it suitable for beginners or practicing therapists?
…the program will accomodate a variety of levels …the beginners mind really enables us to absorb and withhold material. Prior expereince with Shiatsu or thai massage is encouraged WITH THE SEPTEMBER RETREAT . In the oncoming 6 day retreat ..EMBRACE..there is no need for any prior experience ..the focus in on you..and many measures are taken to cater for ALL levels.
2. Where is the centre?
About 2 hrs drive from airport. a small fishing village on the East Coast. Yes..there is surf…very nice right hand point…other attractions are a chocolate factory, the amazing Mt Agung, local water hole, secluded white sand beach ( snorkelling) , craft village, all the attractions of a simple rural fishing village..the contact no. is 6281338555833..Komang Uni
3. What is the accomodation
The rooms and bungalows are beautifully Balinese carved , very clean and mainly twin share. ( view www.homestayirene.com )The centre is 10 minute beach and rice paddy walk each morning. All meals are at the Shanti Agung Centre
4. What is the food ?
Vegetarian with all the Amazing Balinese Spices and local fruits and vegetables. Your digestive system will love you for it!! The Komangs ( our hosts) are simply the best. Tempeh and optional eggs are daily protein support. Snacks such as organic nuts or super foods are options to bring with you. All water is supplied at the centre and at the accomodation centres.
5. How do I get there from the airport?
A taxi ( bemo) is available at all centres and the airport. About $35 DOLLARS aus..( can be shared) ..I have some contacts to pick you up if needed. Simply ask for Pantai Jasri, about 20 min past Chandi Dasa
6. Is there other costs?
The only other cost is the $25 AUD arrival taxes and any gifts etc or personal items you wish to purchase. However, we do recommend a couple of days outside the retreat to have free to immerse yourself in what arises
7. Do I need to bring anything specific?
Your open heart please..add on yoga mat (if you have a favourite),..we do have some at centre, shoes suitable for trekking (may get wet), swimmers, headtorch your own water bottle is handy.
When do I pay my deposit?
A deposit of $300 AUD is required by the 31st July 2011 to commit your space. Paypal is an option or we can send you bank details. The remaining amount can be paid in instalments.
9. Can I bring a friend that doesn’t participate in the retreat offerings?
Yes, I encourage all to be part of the retreat. A beautiful family emerges over the 12 days including the local villagers who are you hosts. We all are involved in a wonderful journey varying from sharing coconuts, to unveiling your truths, to blessing the shrine to releasing anothers pain…each moment is rich when we fully immerse in the experience.
10. Do I need any medications??
Bali Belly is every where is Bali so we need to watch the water. A digestive prob solution is advised. WE have a a great cabinet full of Po Chi tabs which have fantastic and quick results. Jasri is one of the cleanest spots in Bali…but simple measures re water and hygiene is advised

1. Where is Mt. Ninderry?
a. 20 mins inland from coolum beach on the sunshine coast
2. How is the best way to start Zenthai?
a. the 4 day intensive ( level 1 ) is the step stone to all other courses. At the summation of this course you can decide to follow on and do the entire program or select modules that work for you.
3. I don’ t live on the Sunshine coast but would love to make it work…
a. 3 modules this year are in retreat format and another is a partially over 4 days
4. Can I stay at the Centre?
a. the centre has rustic facilities.. a camp kitchen. place for tents and vans, a communal shower, A small cost is required to help with maintenance. Tracey lives at the centre and offers a deal with meals which is very reasonable. All bookings for food and accommodation need to be made with Tracey..phone..0416 559 182
5. I would like to repeat a course ..is there a discount..a $50 discount applies for the 4 day intensive.
a.When you have completed all 7 modules and are a recognised Zenthai therapist..special conditions arise which allow you to return to modules and redo.( substantial discounts..33%)
6. Can I pay off the fees owing for courses i wish to undertake at the centre or in Bali?
a. We welcome your enthusiasm and focus and do not wish it to be hindered by financial restraint..we suggest you set program that suits your situation and we will communicate a story that suits us both. For Students wishing to undertake the full 2012 program ..we suggest $70 a week. We are open to suggestions
7. Do I need prior experience for Bali retreat ?
a. the 2 retreats in Bali have varied focus. WE suggest some experience for the longer 12 day therapist retreat in September. The only prerequesite for the march 6 day retreat is a open mind.
8. Do I have a license to practice at the end of the course?
a. you are able to gain insurance through AON at the completion of the 7 module program which entitles you to legally practice. We suggest students to gain experience from all the modules before you begin inviting paying clients.
9. What do I need to practice?
a. a futon, gentle and receptive hands and loving kindness is essential. Cups, Moxa, liniments, all aid a full practice
10. Will be body be strong and flexible enough?
a. Regular yoga classes are part of the program ..which sees all developing in a myriad of ways. Acro Yoga is an optional part of the program for those wishing to use it as a tool for therapy . The consistent practice shapes you body / mind when it is slow and mindfull. NO force and choose joy..is our motto
