I stumbled across Zenthai Shiatsu in 2019 in the French Alps of all places, when I was assisting a Yoga Teacher of mine. Initially it was the founder Gwyn who grabbed my attention; the way he walked-the-talk and embodied play, Love, truth and joy.
For me, Zenthai Shiatsu feels just like love. It’s an opportunity for two souls to dance together. We practice surrendering and we practice deep-listening and somewhere between the two, it’s like we return to the memory that we are all the same. We are all inter-connected. For me, this brings the most exquisite sense of peace.
WHERE CAN I FIND LAURA?
I treat from a private studio in Fitzroy North, Melbourne. The space itself feels like a sanctuary; in between a big mumma tree and magnolia with light spilling in.
I offer treatments through-out the week and on Saturdays. You can access my bookings calendar and availabilities through the ‘book now’ function on my website above.
I’m a full-time Yoga Teacher and Zenthai Shiatsu therapist. When I’m not with bodies on the Zenthai mat I’m lucky enough to be with epic humans at Melbourne Yoga studios, Good Vibes (Collingwood & Northcote) and Warrior One.
The best way to get in touch with me is via email (laurapeasley@live.com.au).
LAURA SAYS
“I love people. The human experience fascinates me. I’m easily awed. Like ‘what a miracle it is to be here?! Alive! In this incredible flesh suit (our body), on a spinning rock, in out-of-space (Earth) wild.
For me, it’s equally fascinating how easily we forget the mystery and the magic. How quickly seduced we get by our own stories and melo-dramas that keep us separate from one another, separate from ourselves and separate from source.
Why do I do what I do? So I can continue to remember the magic.
My life changed in 2014 when I started practicing Yoga. Something opened up. There was a similar opening / expansion / remembering when I met Gwyn and started finding myself in Zenthai Shiatsu spaces.
I hope to stir a similar remembering in the people I am lucky enough to meet and share Zenthai Shiatsu or Yoga with. A remembering of the greater thing to which we all belong, and a remembering of the mystery and the miracle.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
“A ZenThai session with Laura was exactly what I needed. I felt so safe and comfortable to share what I felt was blocking me, what I wanted to be released from – physically, mentally and spiritually. Laura’s calm, strong and spiritual guidance gave me a chance to truly feel, let go, start to move past, and move forward. I left feeling cared for, with peace and hope. That night, I danced in the kitchen. I look forward to another session. XXX”
~ Erin Slattery, Social Worker (Melbourne)
“I loved it. I really enjoyed what felt like having my whole body danced for me. The grounding pressure on my torso and limbs felt really nourishing. I was moved and inspired by the way you inhabited your body and being while working with me. Beautiful, strong, gentle and clear. Thank you.”
~ Kieran Stubbs, Psychologist (Melbourne)
“The best way I can describe it is surrendering into softness (both mentally/physically) for your body to be able to move freely, which I found created a deeper connection to myself, even though I didn’t know where we were going next. It was truly beautiful. I also found the space you created so safe, so I had trust in you no matter where we were in the practice.”
~ Kira Ayres, Pilates Teacher (Melbourne)
