Zenthai – a movement based therapy package
Online for the first time, 25 unique screen-based teachings, spread across more than seven hours of deep immersion in Zenthai Shiatsu technique, Zenthai Flow classes and more.
Most people who know Zenthai have experienced the art in community – an alive and connected heart-felt presence at festivals and retreats, or as part of intensely personalised healing sessions. Zenthai has a way of bringing people together. And so, during this pandemic shut down and subsequent period of re-emergence, we feel it’s time to expand, to now bring you Zenthai Online – a new way of experiencing both the therapy of these teachings, the Asana and the play.
We are excited to explore connecting in this way and we have worked hard to bring you a package which we believe combines something for everyone:
- For the therapist – 16 tutorials demonstrating techniques to deal with issues ranging from lower back pain to anxiety. These teachings highlight the integration of Zen Shiatsu, Thai massage and osteopathic technique.
- For the movement artists – five full classes from Zenthai Flow, blending fluid asana, chi gung and animal movement
- For the enthusiasts – partner yoga and flying therapeutics
- For the human family – inspiring each other with ways to move, ways to support each other and reminding us all of the interconnected web we share
A little bit about Gwyn and Zenthai
Gwyn Williams is the movement-based therapist who created Zenthai Shiatsu 20 years ago.
On the surface, Zenthai is a fusion of Zen Shiatsu, Thai massage and osteopathic technique. Beneath the surface Zenthai creates an enriched conversation with our vibrant, ever-changing lives. The dissolving of division into unity continues to be Gwyn’s central inspiration. Aspects of community, connection and contribution form the core of this work. While many have been touched by the therapist programs and the multi-layered offerings, the art of Zenthai has now evolved to include a fluid movement-based practice known as Zenthai Flow.
Gwyn gives credit to his teachers:
Bodywork
- Rod Berger – the instigator – setting me on the path
- Asokanander – the sacredness – in Thai massage and spiritual community
- Arnaud Le Hermitte – the poet – my primary teacher – inspiring me in the world of touch
- Kaline Kelly – the creator – bringing the beauty into the world of form
- Krishna Talis – the heartfulness – fuelling the passion
- David Lutt – the precision – allowing the depth
- Roland Coombes – the infinity – reminding me of the world of continual movement and change
Yoga
- Adam Bornstein – the devotion – to life as a journey of Self realisation
- Simon Park – the fluidity – in unbridled buoyant movement
The Students – offering the platform to share and evolve
Gwyn’s work can also be explored through his books ‘The Zen of Touch’ and ‘Connection to Source’, as well as his teachings at Zenthai healing centres in Australia and Bali, and festival workshops globally.
