Discover, Dive, Deepen
Discover your centre, dive into culture and ceremony and deepen your relationships with our natural world.
This is not a retreat, it is a not a training…
It is a dropping away of the world
To drop into something new…
It is a drop into living, purifying, meditating, loving and realising.
So many of your dreams will follow – when this personal realisation is met.

This 19 day Jasri Immersion is built around the foundation of Balinese cosmology:
The Tri Hita Karana – the three causes of well-being

Deepening the relationship we have with our essential self, our community and with the teachings of nature. And hence, our interconnectedness with the 5 elements.

Initially we work on the “I”, then we move onto the “We”, and finally we work on the “All”.

As potential leaders offering transformational movement practices, gestures and “wake ups” to bigger communities, we are asked to make the two crucial steps diving into “I” and “we” beforehand.

Without this we are destined to only offer a superficial version of what is possible.

We feel that a deep immersion into Bali culture, ceremony and spiritual essence is the perfect breeding ground for the power of You to emerge.

When you are grounded in your centre – everything else will follow – clarity, joy, freedom, abundance and lasting peace…

This is our new offering in Bali…

Shanti Agung is nestled among an ancient coconut forest by the beach, within a small rural village called Jasri, on the surf east coast of Bali.

Over the 19 days we will partake in daily cultural practices with Mr and Mrs Komang and their fellow villagers, allowing the magic of Bali (known as the Island of the Gods) to sink deep into our being. Our Balinese hosts, with the support of Gwyn, Gaia and Sally, will be offering their heart fuelled passions of cooking, ceremony, language, and insights of how to live a life full of simplicity, grace and ease.

Alongside this, is ample opportunity for you upgrade and refine your intention to wear the “Zenthai teacher suit” with full power, originality and clarity, by integrating the five elements with the three disciplines of: solo asana practice, creative partner yoga, and effective therapeutic bodywork sequences. This is always a challenge that we will meet again and again.  -“to get out of your own way and allow your own signature to shine through”.

We will be your number one cheer squad!

…Here we start …
Cinta cinta
Sin can can
Sinang sinang

Love love , no problem , happy happy

Simplicity and relaxing is easier said than done.
There is also nothing more alluring than these two ingredients…

When we share the elements as leaders in our communities, we digest it in a unforgettable way.

Here are some testimonials from previous years:

“Spending this time in the village in Bali was like putting the icing on the cake of my journey with Yoga.
I’ve been teaching for 6 years and I now feel, more than ever, a deep confidence and ability to hold space for my students. I feel comfortable and safe in my own vulnerability as a teacher and I’ve been able to facilitate so much growth in my students through a newfound ability to confidently encourage self inquiry.
This immersion was life changing and transformational, and I felt challenged but held throughout the experience.”
– Jess Humphries, editor of Australian Yoga Journal

“It’s been few months since our time in Bali. Interestingly, the effect of the immersion lasted for me and I still feel it in my work and also my body.  What we learned and experienced is far beyond words  – how do you describe energy shifting, creativity rising, happiness oozing and far, far more?
I witnessed significant change in everyone. We came out renewed and empowered .”
–  Asho Gevorgyan, Qi Gong Teacher

FAQ

1. Do I need to be experienced at teaching yoga or Zenthai?

This is an immersion into Balinese culture, for any Zenthai Therapists who are ready to start wearing/refining/upgrading their “teaching suit” and step into the unique and integrated voice as a Zenthai leader. Though you may already have teaching experience, it is mainly required that you have partaken in one of our Zenthai trainings in the past.

Outside of obvious topics of immersion in the practice, teaching methodology, theory of the elements, anatomy of the structural body, shapes/safety/refinement ….is you sharing your voice and practices with your fellow participants!

There is a strong focus on practical application and continually refining to find your voice.

2. HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE THERE?

The class will be capped at around 20 students.

Gwyn, Gaia and Sally will be alongside our local Balinese host family in facilitating the 19 days.

3.WHERE IS THE IMMERSION BEING HELD?
WHERE WILL I STAY AND WHAT WILL I EAT?

Shanti Agung Pantai is located on a small fishing village on Bali’s east coast, near Candi Dasa – Pantai Jasri. Our hosts are Mr and Mrs Komang, who feed us delicious Balinese food, predominately vegan with eggs, chicken and fish available for those who wish. Everyone will stay onsite, or very close by. Rooms are twin share, simple and comfortable. There’s also an option to have your own room in the offsite accommodation next door to the retreat (this is an extra cost).

4. WHAT IS THE BASIC PROGRAM?

We will begin each day with early morning meditation and yoga together. After breakfast/morning tea, we will dissect the qualities of each element (Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire), marrying each with the how and what of presenting effective learning environments and putting it all to action.

Within the two sessions after breakfast, you will have ample opportunities to be in active teaching roles, (predominantly asana), where we learn and grow and step into deeper leadership together.

We have a daily 3-4 hour break between 1-4pm allows time to restore, soak up the offerings of the village or gather with each other to collaborate and imprint the material.

The evening program (4-6.30pm) entails five Elements meets partner yoga (some optional therapeutic flying /AcroYoga), and sharing of five Zenthai bodywork sequences (simple and effective).

Forum and discussion on a journey towards a powerful and joyful leader is injected throughout the day.  An embodiment of the 5 elements is filtered throughout the entire program, as well as Balinese culture, spirituality and cosmology.

5. Application process, when do I need to pay the deposit and the remaining fee?

Acceptance is via successful application. Take your time to fill our online application form.
On acceptance of your application, your position in the class is secured with a $500 deposit. The remaining amount needs to be finalised before the class commencement.

6. How do I describe Zenthai flow to future students and clients?

Zenthai flow is best described as movement-based therapy, based around the five events of Chinese medicine. The free flowing asana flow involves vitalising the meridians or energy lines of the body, with the intention of supporting overall wellbeing and dealing with existing imbalances. Partner and bodywork sequences are focused on fluidity, therapy and connection.

The yogic and zen philosophies offer a refreshing lens of perception to quieten the mind, direct attention and to embody a more sincere, contributive and harmonious daily life.
