~ Zenthai Shiatsu Therapist ~ Murwillumbah/ Byron Bay, Lower Gold Coast region based treatments

facebook: Melissa Onebeing

Melissa has a passion for movement-based therapy. She is a trained Oki Do Yoga instructo,r which combines self massage techniques, the wisdom of Traditional Chinese medicine and Zen Buddhism. She encourages people to listen to their own internal guidance system, fine tuning to their own innate knowledge and alignment. The body knows what it is doing as it hasn’t read the book.

Melissa offers intuitive touch with awareness and respect of each individual’s needs. She provides a safe space, appreciating the unique quality of each body. Soften areas of tension, unravel and allow the relief in all areas of body, mind and spirit, reminding you of what you naturally are, feeling at home in oneself.

WHERE CAN I FIND MELISSA?

zenthai-shiatsu-byron-bay-therpaist-melissaMelissa currently lives in Uki NSW and has a clinic practice at Heart and Soul of Wellness based in Murwillumbah, where she also teaches Japanese Yoga Classes. She also offers mobile treatments in the Byron Shire and Lower Gold Coast areas.

You can contact Melissa directly on her mobile or email address. Her appointments are from 60 – 120mins.

MELISSA SAYS…

I first met Gwynn and Zenthai Shiatsu at a workshop in Sydney, and immediately fell in love with this dance and connection. The practice of conscious present touch, finding the perfect fit, the strength in softness, Zenthai allows deep listening to the body’s innate healing abilities. It opens the space to be fully receptive, and I became awakened to the flow of giving and receiving, the joy of being that river of vitality. As a therapist it is an honor to share this experience.

I am in awe of the magnificence of the physical body and its ability to come back into balance and heal itself, when we allow it. The focused intention of Zenthai Shiatsu – the play, curiosity, the surrender to letting in the natural flow of wellbeing – opens the door to trusting the infinite intelligence.

 WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING …

zenthai-shiatsu-byronbay-massage-bodywork-therapist-melissa“I have been seeing different massage practitioners for over 40 years, Melissa’s floor work is totally new to me, I was amazed at how much flexibility without pain she was able to get out of my rigid body. Melissa has great strength, but her best asset is her compassion and nurturing, something sadly lacking with a lot of human interactions.”

MATT CLEARY

“When I first met Melissa my intention was to try add some more movement in my hips and shoulders. When we started working she as talking about a dance. At first I thought it was the dance she was doing with my body because some of the movement that she put my legs and arms through felt like a dance. Until I understood that a space had been made for my body to remember its own dance. As a result not only do I have freer hips and shoulders I have more ease and grace in my whole body. Thankyou Melissa.”

GER   MC CLUSKY

“I received several treatments from Melissa. The only way I can describe it is like counseling for the body! Melissa knows where the discomfort lies, listens to it with her body and intuition and works with her body to bring you into alignment and awareness. Every treatment is different and Melissa’s knowledge and technique is vast”

Miriam Latif

~ Zenthai Shiatsu therapist ~ traditional herbalist  ~ based at Blue Knob and Nimbin, Nth NSW

mob::  0416 073 097
e::       info@theopenheartapothecary.org
fb::     The Open Heart Apothecary

Miriam bases her practice in the knowing that our bodies are nature itself – responsive, dynamic and ever-changing. Miriam offers an environment of deep listening, total acceptance and freedom – sensing, moment by moment, the nature of each body and its needs.

As a traditional herbalist, Miriam has a deep and specific understanding of patterns of imbalance and medicinal plants, and finds absolute joy in bringing this knowledge to her Zenthai practice.

miriam-latif-zenthai-shiatsu-therapist-nimbin-nsw

WHERE CAN I FIND MIRIAM?

Miriam has a clinic in her home in Blue Knob, a beautiful hinterland town in Northern NSW, just south of Uki. She also works at the Nimbin Apothecary, where she combines Zenthai Shiatsu and traditional herbal medicine for an integrated approach to well-being.

MIRIAM SAYS…

“ At the conclusion of my ZenThai training, a mantra came to me: ‘still mind, soft heart, light spirit’.The practice of ZenThai Shiatsu is not limited to the mat, it bleeds out into life.

miriam-latif-zenthai-shiatsu-therapist-nimbin-nswThe principles that we weave into the dance become ones to live by. On the mat, we are asked to be fully present and embodied. We are required to drop in to a space of deep listening, and to get out of our own way. There is a reciprocity occurring, an exchange where both bodies are offering, and receiving – it’s profound, and brings me so much joy.

I am fascinated by nature, our bodies, and the rhythms that bind them. Every treatment is a gift, an opportunity to explore nature’s rhythms, to witness them in the body and to create space for Qi to flow.

My favourite way to define healing comes from a fellow called Matt Licata, he says “Healing is not a state where we become liberated from feeling, but freer to experience it more fully”.

This is the intention I keep in my heart, for me and my clients, both on the ZenThai mat, and off.”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

“ Miriam brings a rich set of understanding and skills about human well-being which shine through in her Zenthai Shiatsu treatments. She is fluent in the art of touch, and able to hold a person in the nurturing, release and recharge they require. Her heart-felt care and contribution allow me to feel nourished on so many levels after a treatment. I’m looking forward to the next one already!”

– Erin Young – Permaculturalist and sociocracy consultant

” To receive Zenthai body work from Miriam is to drop into a deep surrender. Coming from a background of trauma, letting go and relaxing into my physical being doesn’t always come so naturally. On the mat with Miriam, I get to finally rest in another’s presence.

It’s soul nourishing; a medicinal bath to my nervous system. I feel I’m being held by warm and present hands, being guided home to my body… Lessons in opening.”

– Rachel Gagen – Herbalist at the Entheobotanica Foundation

Paea Leach

~ Zenthai Shiatsu Therapist in VIC ~ Kyenton Clinic ~ Macedon Ranges and Melbourne Mobile

m: 0424 200 280
e: paea.shiatsu@gmail.com
w: www.paealeach.com
facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ZENINMELBOURNE/

Paea brings…

Paea has worked for more than 20 years as a professional contemporary dancer, performer, choreographer and movement teacher to all bodies and levels. She is a mother, a body therapist and a writer. She meets each client, bodily, where they are; drawing from a rich base of accumulated and embodied knowledges learnt through dance and experiential, as well as evidence-based, studies of anatomy, via Body Mind Centering (BMC), Iyengar yoga practice and, currently, university study in the field of Osteopathic Medicine. Her focus is on relieving symptoms; opening time for the body to yield to the ground, the nervous system to unhold, and breath to slow down. Ultimately, to encourage free flowing circulation of all fluids through the body systems. Through focussed touch, compassion and advice on functional movement, she hopes to support the permeation of self-healing through the great sea of (each) body.

Where can I find PAEA?

Paea offers sessions on Saturdays at ‘29’ – a community clinic, @ 29 High St, Kyneton between 8am and 1pm (later times available).

Home visits are available on Fridays and Mondays – Melbourne CBD or Macedon
ranges – by negotiation.

Sessions in Melbourne CBD are TBC – and will likely commence by May 2023.

You can contact Paea via mobile phone, email or facebook.

PAEA says…

“We live in a world that is desperate to name ailments of the body. We tend toward
the reduction of our identity to our biography. Many of us seek something for our
body that is more direct, honest, grounding, non-analytical and slow.

As a dancer, I understand the world through movement; I think through my body. I
would like to help reunite you with your own sensing feeling body. To support
freedom from being told how we are, and what we lack, and movement toward
realising that agency is an embodied reality; it is something we feel.

I believe intuition is a form of intelligence; binding the concrete things we can know
to be true (bones, ligaments, functions) to the bigger field of the everything we
cannot. I ask myself; how can I meet you where you are with compassion and
wisdom? How can the work quieten and support your system to allow energy to flow,
as a rivulet between the rocks? Richness is possible. Loving kindness can be real”.

What others are saying:

“Intuitive, sensitive, mindful, visceral, loving, nurturing, wise… Paea is one of the most gifted physical therapists around. Her Zen Shiatsu practice returns me to my body time and again, leaving me feeling grounded, balanced and more deeply in tune with my inner and outer worlds. Whether you’re wanting to heal ailments in the body or you’re after a gorgeous, indulgent practice (it’s even more divine than a massage), I strongly recommend Paea.  As one of Australia’s finest contemporary dancers, she brings a wealth of knowledge around the rhythms of the human body to her practice, and is a beautiful practitioner to be in flow with“.

SALLY SAYS…

“I’ve always has a passion for exploring our inner-space and really getting to know ourselves.  Being a dancer and practicing yoga since I could walk, when I first came across Zenthai Shiatsu in 2009 I was immediately moved by the practice. Gwyn had come down to teach some workshops at a yoga studio I taught at in Melbourne. I was deeply touched by Gwyn’s teachings and the dance that Zenthai is. A dance that brings fluidity, aliveness and totality to the body, mind and spirit.. A dance that guides us back home to our true and natural state of being.

Since graduating as a Zenthai Therapist in 2015, I have been teaching with Gwyn on the Sunshine Coast and on Bali trainings, and have brought the practice to Victoria now leading the Zenthai Therapist Program in Melbourne. Zenthai Shiatsu and Zenthai Flow have become a big part of my life and offerings. I am forever grateful to be on this path and hold my many teachers dearly in my heart including my peers, students and clients.

Zenthai creates space and time to be with our self and start to listen. To listen to the tensions we’ve been carrying around, as they unravel like old stories from our joints, tissues, organs, nerves, mind, heart.

For me, Zenthai is a practice of letting go and getting out of the way so that my client, my students, myself may become hollow like bamboo, and a force greater than we can imagine can flow freely.

It is such an honour to guide my students and clients into that non-judging listening space where they can be with themselves, and where necessary bring light onto the causes of their symptoms and be on their path to healing and wholeness.”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

“Sally is a warm hearted, sensitive, open and well trained practitioner; I received her treatment within a relaxing environment which helped calm my mind. Sally was very intuitive with her healing and I really felt like I was in good hands, so I was able to surrender and allow my muscles and nerves in my neck to heal and realign. Zenthai shiatsu is just as much the patients responsibility for healing as it is for the practitioner and I felt like I was able to relax and let go of my pain and disharmony in my body, whilst Sally helped me to realign to a more harmonious and balanced state. I would definitely recommend booking a session with Sally and encourage everyone to experience this beautiful and effective technique.”
-Justin Sherwood – Remedial Massage Therapist

“I have known Sally for several years having attended her yoga classes and recently I had a Zenthai healing treatment. It was amazing and I felt the healing continue over days. Sally is a beautiful spirit and is so intuitive with the work she is doing. I loved it so much I took my mother in law to her also, she is 80 years old. She loved it and we can’t wait for our next treatment. Keep shining bright Sally, you are awesome.”
-Helen Georgos – Mother and Yoga student

“Sally Meredith is a naturally gifted intuitive healer, body worker and teacher. She has matured and grown very rapidly in her art as a Zenthai therapist and facilitator.”

Sayaka holds gentle and grounded safe space for her clients to breathe deeply and be themselves. She is a cheerful human lover and genuinely wants to hear what a client has to say and she listens. Her gentle yet strong hands, along with her curious nature, allow her to tap into deeper layer of the body and energetic field where two human beings meet and work together.

Sayaka is also a Chi Kung and Yoga practitioner, and a forever bumbly rock climber. She grew up in Japan and has lived in Australian for more than 10 years.  She holds deep love to those who sing beyond and above tunes.

WHERE CAN I FIND SAYAKA?

You can find Sayaka in her rustic home treating space in Ninderry, surrounded by trees – recently rearranged by Fen Shui guidance. She also offers mobile sessions.

SAyakA SAYS…

sayaka-zenthai-therapist-sunshine-coast” Having grown up in Japan, where there was not much body touch in everyday life (even a simple hug didn’t exist!), I was never comfortable with touches.

Studying Zenthai was a journey to recognise my deeper needs of safe touch and connection. Through receiving so many caring touches, I am now convinced touch can heal us!

Practicing Zenthai always reminds me we are all interconnected – it’s not “my” body and “my” hands that are offering a session: it’s a hand that is supported by and connected to Zenthai and broader caring community that I grow together. It’s my joy to connect with people through this magical modality.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

“ Very supportive, strong and very present Zenthai bodyworker. Sayaka embodies health and awareness and this modality is super fun and relaxing. She intuitively knows where and when to push and press and pull. I felt this energy for days after and could still notice sensations from the massage weeks later. Lucky we all are to have her skills and energy, strength and flexibility!

–  Jaz,  Conondale

I have been receiving sessions from Sayaka regularly for a while now and I appreciate how she tunes into my needs every time I see her. I love how her follow up treatment with messages and giving simple Chi-Kung moves to bring home. I am feeling healthier everyday.”

SOPHIE SAYS…

sophie-martin-massage-sunshine-cast-queensland-zenthai-shiatsu “To me Zenthai is an experience unique to each individual.  It isn’t a massage but a therapy, nor a ‘quick fix’ but a deep healing practice.

I cannot express enough my gratitude towards Gwyn Williams for striving to achieving his dream of allowing so many people to explore this transformative modality.

Since I was little I have had passion about natural and holistic healing, perhaps in part a response to many years of suffering from many illnesses and a very bad back pain that started during my gymnastic training and never left me … until now.

My mother taught me a lot about nutrition and herbal remedies and I’ve kept on researching and learning ever since. When I found Zenthai I had no intention to become a therapist. I came in for the experience, transformation and self growth. The journey in itself led me to embrace the power of touch.  the joy I feel when I feel my hands having a conversation with the body lying before me is indescribable.

sophie-martin-massage-remedial-treatment-zenthai-shiatsu-sunshinecoastI am truly blessed to offer this work to my clients and to give them the tools to help them find their own balance. I am thrilled to share my knowledge with them as much as I am to learn from them.

Fully present, heart wide open, a zenthai sequence is never the same and it never cease to surprise me. It a conversation, a dance… a relationship”

“Health is a relationship between you and your body”

YUTA SAYS…

Zenthai-shiatsu-melbourne-yuta“I’m passionate about sharing happiness with others, and providing a space for people to discover the best and healthiest balance in themselves and their life.

Being a dancer, I instantly fell in love with Gwyn’s dynamic movement modality as a meditative dance. As I deepened my Zenthai journey and became therapist, I learned so much about communication and the healing that is possible when you have the courage to step into and be held in your vulnerability.

I now understand the value in deep listening and I offer this to my clients every time give a session. This is the foundation of healing.

Other healing modalities I’ve studied and draw upon in my Zen Thai practice include: Reiki, Zen shiatsu and various Thai massage styles. Through my exploration of sound healing, meditation and other energetic modalities, I bring a sensitivity to the subtle frequencies that are transmitted through the way we direct our attention.

“Where our attention goes, energy flows”, this is a powerful reminder that allows us to step back into responsibility and empowerment for our own self directed healing, and what we are attracting and creating in our lives. The clear, meditative quality of Zenthai Shiatsu invites both the receiver and practitioner to move into a deeper relaxation and quietness, where we are able to pay attention more fully, and from there, return to a more balanced alignment in our body, mind and spirit.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

“What a beautiful treatment I received from you. Gentle and connected, full hearted and effective. My body felt so nurtured, safe and trusting in your hands and my shoulder that has long-held tension began to release. Thank you.”

I would recommend Yuta to anyone seeking a treatment with care and attention.”
